About us

Oh So Boho is a bohemian boutique offering unique, handmade fashion, a wide selection of sterling silver jewellery, and a colourful array of homeware. Established in Cape Town over 30 years ago, we began by sourcing artisan treasures from India, Nepal, Thailand, and Morocco. Today, we proudly support both international craftsmanship and South African designers.

Inspired by the magic of travel and the soul of traditional craftsmanship, Oh So Boho celebrates the beauty in slow, intentional fashion. Our block print collection remains one of our most iconic offerings—as one of our cornerstones it represents where we place value, in something that is: handmade, created by artists at every stage, within a small scale production process that places emphasis on quality and care.

While our global roots still inspire our collections, our hearts are increasingly drawn to the incredible talent found right here in South Africa. We proudly stock a growing range of locally made clothing, jewellery, natural beauty products, home décor, and artisanal shoes. Supporting local creators allows us to minimise our environmental footprint while celebrating the creativity that thrives within our own communities.

Sustainability

An additional note on the local is lekker front: sustainability. Fashion and consumption is not an earth friendly activity. Therefor one must find ways to limit the damage that can be created when we shop. Shopping small, meaning businesses which are of a scale that they still have the control to produce limited quantities and thereby reduce pointless waste. We only make what we can sell, and there is nothing left behind.  Shopping locally is an additional avenue, and the sustainability achieved by sourcing local products has inspired and motivated an at home exploration of local creations.
